Mar Philoxenos Private Industrial Training Institute (MP ITI) is an institution owned by Thumpamon Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church of India. It was established in the year 1978 by late lamented H.G. Daniel Mar Philoxenos who was the Metropolitan of Thumpamon Diocese for about four decades. This institution is named after the late Thirumeni whose intercession continues to be a source of strength and inspiration for those steering the institution. Since its beginning, the institute has grown steadily in to its present size and strength. The institute is currently managed by the governing board, constituted by the Metropolitan of the Thumpamon Diocese, the Manager and the working board President, H.G.Kuriakose Mar Clemis. Our institute caters to the educational needs of people living in and around Pathanamthitta, particularly the members of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The institution provides training for various Engineering and Non-Engineering trades. The course and curriculum are based on the standards laid down by the National Council for Vocational Training(NCVT), Ministry of Labour, New Delhi. Presently, our institute offers courses in the following NCVT Engineering trades. 1) Draughtsman Civil (2 years) 2) Electrician (2 years) 3) Motor Mechanic Vehicle (2 years) 4) Mechanic Diesel (1 year).
